The 2002 Williams Family
Christmas Letter

Hello and welcome! We're glad you joined us. Now that you've made the decision to check out what's been going on in our lives the past couple of years, there's no turning back! So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride as we journey through the latest adventures of the Williams family.

When we last left Brian, he was working in the Disneyland Band where he plays a variety of saxophones and other woodwind instruments. He was also doing quite a bit of playing, composing, arranging, teaching and, just because he had a few spare seconds left over that he needed to fill up with another activity, financial planning. Well, guess what? Nothing's changed! He continues to make quite a name for himself in the professional music world and is very successful in all his endeavors.

There have, however, been a few changes in Jan's life since our last update. She is back working at Anaheim Band Instruments again, where she is the Lesson Department Coordinator and is part of the support Sales Staff. Her job is a real blessing because it allows her to be part of the local music scene while performing a valuable service to the community in such a way that she feels is a wonderful asset to anyone's life: experiencing the wonderful world of music and all the joy it brings to us. Oh, and since Brian is one of the instructors that she manages, she is his boss (as it should be)! Gotta love that, right?

Dana is involved in so many things that it would take another hard drive to list them all, so please allow us to give you the "condensed version" (and remember, you asked for it!):

National Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, Collegiate Scholar Program (college scholarships, anyone?), Girls League (where she is a member of the Presidency), Sophomore Advisory, Drama Club, Creative Impulse Club (a mix of drama, art, and writing), and finally (I think that's all, anyway) Esperanza High School's newspaper staff, where she has already published four front page articles. She maintains a 4.16 weighted G.P.A. and is on the Principal's Honor Roll. In addition to all this fun stuff, she is also quite involved in her church's youth group and all the activities that go along with it. At the moment, she is looking very forward to getting her driver's permit, and Jan is looking forward to not being Dana's personal taxi service anymore, starting in August, when Dana turns 16!

Okay, time for the 7th inning stretch - oh, wait; that's over and the Angels won the Series! Moving on:

Chris is in third grade now and is doing very well in school. He especially enjoys math and science. He had a lot of fun this fall playing his second season of soccer. His team did quite well; they came in second in their division group! Now that soccer season has ended (and along with it, Jan's responsibilities as Team Mom), Chris is already anticipating next fall, when he plans on playing again. In the meantime, there's always video games; Chris is the expert in our family. If you come to visit anytime soon, prepare to be challenged on Nintendo 64 or PlayStation 2!

Are you still with us? Very good! Congratulations are in order! We hope the recent years have brought you and your loved ones many joys and blessings and that they will continue to flow for years to come. Feel free to e-mail us anytime at brian@barisax.net, jan@barisax.net, dana@barisax.net, or snail mail to the return address on your envelope. Until 2004, here's best wishes for the holidays and every day from Brian, Jan, Dana, Chris, Cosmo and Tasha (our two cats), Penny (the cockatiel), Rocky and Pebbles (Dana's turtles), and whatever fish are still alive when you read this. Have a Merry "Bari" Christmas and a Happy New Year!
